Linear α-MSH analog (afamelanotide, 13 aa)

Melanotan I is a linear 13-amino-acid analog of alpha-MSH, more receptor-selective than Melanotan II. Its pharmaceutical form (afamelanotide) is approved in some regions for a rare light-sensitivity disorder, and it is studied in pigmentation research.
