Human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (37 aa)

LL-37 is the only cathelicidin-family antimicrobial peptide in humans — 37 amino acids produced by immune and epithelial cells as part of innate defense. It is studied in research on antimicrobial action, biofilms, and wound-healing signaling.
